From Boulder, Colorado we present you the latest addition to the already deep Season 55 draft class. Peter Quill might not have skated before, but this did not scare the current all star team ‘Las Vegas Aces’ of signing him. Who is this player and what can and mostly what can’t he do. Let’s find out in our analysis!

When looking at Peter his skillset we notice he has developed the following skills rather quickly.

Scoring

Even though his first three games (where he was just listed as ‘extra forward’) he was held pointless, he has shown great offensive awareness in practices. He has an incredible aim and is only just learning to use this in combat. While he has to use a stick instead of a gun, Quill is indeed a triggerhappy player and he loves to shoot whenever he sees an opportunity

Skating One of the most important abilities to learn and this is why Peter has tried his hardest to improve in this area. While he is not the best skater, he certainly can stand without falling down, which is quite an achievement for someone who has not stood on skates before signing up to this league. After he put on the skates for the first time, it wasn’t for long until he could skate, turn and brake at will. A really fast learner due to his prior training.

Vision Peter Quill has an eye for detail and he has a great Vision of everything that happens around me, this is one of the main reasons he has chosen to develop himself at the Center position. His eye for detail hopes to provide him with a spark that also gives him the advantage on the ice. Seeing closely where his opponents are, he might be able to develop himself fast and become a threat to any opponent. He loves to be the center of attention and hopes to show of his dance moves after he finally scores his first goal.

But there is still a lot to learn, here are some area’s in which Quill has to develop a lot more:

Passing Quill does not like to have to rely on other people. He knows he can trust himself the best, so even though he has great vision of what is happening on the ice, he would always look for the option of shooting first before he even tries to get the puck to his teammates. It is a selfish aspect, but mostly growing up alone, he learned that the best person he could rely on is himself, which has made him quite selfish in his play.

Partying After ending up in Vegas he has to learn to resist to party too much. With all the alcohol and drugs which are smuggled in the Las Vegas lockerroom by general manager BobertZ it is hard to resist. If he gives in too this too much, this career can end quite drastically. It becomes important for him to keep his head straight and not give in too much.

Rulebook One of the weaknesses of Quill is that he has no idea what he’s doing. He does his own thing but does not realize what rules there are in hockey. After playing a few minutes where he as not slotted in at any line, he jumped on the ice at random. It will be a tough job to get him to get his act together and turn into a true star(lord)

Conclusion: A rough prospect but perhaps a bright future ahead of him. Only time will tell if this is a diamond in the rough, or just a lump of coal.
