Bo Knows

Is it surprising that Saskatoon Wild centerman Bo Boeser is still atop the leaderboards in the VHLM? That might not be the case to some, but to his player agency, it is.

"We always knew that Bo was a great player, but he has had a huge weight put on his shoulders. We sort of thought he might be a top ten guy, but not necessarily out-scoring the competition so consistently. Our player agency brought to the VHL the likes of Travis Boychuk, Zach Parechkin, and Torstein Ironside, so we at the Dollar And A Dream Agency would be a little cocky to just expect Boeser to dominate the VHLM." - Boeser's agent

Bo Boeser has risen up to the occasion, and performed past expectations in his VHLM tenure. Maybe it will be sad for some, especially Saskatoon Wild fans, but this season will be Bo's first and only season in the VHLM. Thoughts of a championship run remain on the mind of Bo Boeser, and also his agency.

"Our agency has never seen a VHLM Founder's Cup, so if Bo Boeser can bring that to our resume, that would be grand. Obviously, our agency has seen many accolades, with Parechkin earning plenty of individual forward awards, and Ironside earning top goaltender last season in Yukon." - Boeser's agent

"Individual awards are never what I am trying to go for, but if they come, then I will no doubt be ecstatic about them. My main goal here in Saskatoon is the Founder's Cup. I want to earn a championship, but it will definitely be difficult with teams like the Las Vegas Aces being around. They have a ridiculous lead on the rest of the VHLM in the standings, but nothing is impossible. We have beaten them before, and seen them be beaten by other teams, so if we do in fact meet them in the playoffs, I have confidence. Everyone in the Wild locker room is confident in our team going forward and being able to beat any team put in front of us." - Bo Boeser

At the time of this article, Bo Boeser leads the VHLM in both points and goals, but not by much. Rusty Trombone is one goal and one point behind Boeser for the best in the VHLM. Bo Boeser has scored 42 goals in 46 games, and earned 80 points, holding that number one position. Trombone is only one point behind him, despite playing three less games, however. Surely Rusty Trombone will take control of that lead with an even number of games played at this point, but there is still a large chunk of the season left to play.

Boeser also remains a big target in the VHLM for opposing teams. They know the threat of offense when he is on the ice, so he leads the VHLM in hits taken by a large margin. He has taken 276 hits, while the next highest is Apollo Aho at 184. Even Rusty Trombone has only taken 121 hits. Bo Boeser probably needs to work on his strength to keep that from happening.
