Jamie 438 Posted January 14, 2014 Share Posted January 14, 2014 26 games into the season, it's clear that young captain of the Riga Reign may need to calm down a little bit. In his first season in the VHL, Brennan McQueen currently leads the league in hits and penalty minutes. While it shows that he is passionate and goes out and gives his all, he's also hindering his team by sending them to the penalty kill so often. Offensively he's been fairly good for the team but if he would take a few less penalties he may contribute a bit more on the scoresheet. Most of his penalty minutes have come in two games, however. Both against the European Conference rival Cologne Express. In the first game McQueen was ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct, overall receiving 17 PIMs. In the next game McQueen fought Gregory Glass and then was ejected from the game recording once again 17 PIMs. Take it easy kid, you have a long career ahead of you.
