Härmä Looking For His Chance

 

Estonian sniper Kristjan Härmä has entered the league looking for his chance. Being from a country not known for their hockey prowess and pailing to their big brother Finland in every area of the sport - Härmä aims to change this for the country. Despite the lack of pro success of the proud nation of Estonia, Härmä has gained an astonishing amount of support from the tiny country and has the hopes of thousands riding on his back. 

 

Härmä has spent the first week of his time eligible for pickup in the VHLM getting very few offers. Not many teams seem interested in adding a young winger at this stage of the season. Kristjan believes he could add spectacular depth to a lucky team and would help bolster the strength of any team looking to push for the playoffs. He has been quoted as saying, for the consideration of possible suitors, that his effort on the ice will be second to none and he will bring his best game to the ice immediately. 

 

Härmä is an average sized winger. One who doesn't bring the size that many look for these days. But what he doesn't bring in power, Kristjan brings in speed, craftiness with the puck and pure will. The young Estonian has been quoted saying the following, "I am going to blow the doors off this league. People don't take my country seriously when it comes to hockey. I want to change that image. I want people to insert the name Härmä into consideration about greatest players from non-traditional hockey countries. After that has happened, I want to become among the names of greatest hockey players in the world. I'm tired of people saying they are surprised a talented hockey player could come from Estonia. Our work ethic is second to none and I am going to prove that, with proper funding and growth, my home country can be among one of the best in the world at this game."

 

Kristjan is the type of winger that any team could use and would surely become one of the best scorers in the VHLM given proper guidance and a fertile environment in which to grow. A locker room filled with characters, supportive and funny, would be the most beneficial to the young Estonian. Some place that would give him guidance and let him spread his wings in the VHLM and grow into a potent scorer and defensive winger. Just becoming eligible, Kristjan is weary of where to go and where would be the best place for a young winger like himself. But offers and explanation of the situation he would be put into once joining the team. Härmä could become a very solid member of that team and a core guy to build around.
