Banackock 8,141
It's the unfortunate side affect of being a VHL general manager. Wolf could of continued to play on the Seattle roster, but for what purpose? What could would it have brought me? Him? The team? Other than potential, and very small chances, as individual accolades and accomplishments, there was no point on keeping him around or active. Regretfully, Sven Wolf has a lot on him as a player as he was supposed to be a big impact player for the Bears organization during our up swing. I created a goalie prior to him and retired him 180 tpe in or something because Seattle needed a center man if we were even going to think about contending in the next couple of seasons. Thus, Sven Wolf pops into the league. He wasn't in the league long. In fact, only a S50 player and still very young at first glance while skating for the Stockholm Vikings this season. Generally, it's never easy to have to lace them up early, put them away and start looking for a new job. As stated, for Wolf, its very early in his career and he may be going through a punch of thoughts. With average success and never an extremely strong break out year and zero cups to show for anything, its safe to say his career was a blended up bunch of average placed into one steaming pot of disappointment. Some though, may argue that. My career was my career. Vaguely put, it was both amazing and disappointing. I enjoyed my time in Seattle. The team was amazing and the guys were even better. We came together as a family and truly tried to push to make it all the way to the end. Year after year it seemed we pushed harder, became a tighter group. It just wasn't what happened in the end every time. We didn't win that cup. My rookie season there was embarrassing to say the least and the season following that I was also very, very unhappy with. I wasn't a goal scorer by no means, but the amount I got was something I at least wasn't upset about. It was expected. My assists and everything else were very good and my face off's percentage was coming along nicely and strongly. Seattle was pumping and I was finally coming along as a player - FINALLY. We chased the cup both seasons. We chased hard and despite coming up short each year, it was still a rewarding and enjoyable experience. The group of guys was amazing and after each loss, it was tough as hell. Things then went downhill, management started trading everyone and next thing you know - I'm on the move to Stockholm. Best team in the regular season. Biggest, best roster in my opinion in the league. Easy cup were my initial thoughts at the start of the season and end of the regular season. Hell, it was even my thoughts during the start of the playoffs. My experience here? Very little. Not enough for me to enjoy it. I never got LR access and was never apart of the team. Not overly too sure why I was never included in that but that easily could have made my second time around as a Viking a better one. So, we lost and I retired without a cup. I have some questions, some regrets and some wishes that I wish would have went the other way. Yet, it was a good run. It was a fun run. Maybe even one of my last strong ones.
