With just 15 games remaining for each team, there is a crowd atop the goals leaderboard. Four players are tied for the lead with 38. This includes New York teammates Diana Maxwell and Unassisted, Tyson Kohler of the Vikings, and up-and-comer Franchise Cornerstone. Maxwell is the reigning Brooks Trophy winner, and Unassisted also has one to his name. Just behind that quartet with 37 goals is another former winner, Pietro Maximoff. Down at 36 goals is the remainder of the top ten, with five players just two behind the leaders: Theo Axelsson, Black Velvet, Pierre Gaudette, Essian Ravenwing, and Bo Boeser.

In the history of the VHL, there have only been three seasons in which the goals lead was a tie, the most recent being in S31. Never have we seen a tie of more than two people. With how close the race is at the moment, we could be heading in that direction. Also, it is worth noting that 38 goals through 57 games puts the leading four on a pace to finish with just 48 goals, which would tie the second fewest goals to lead a season. The record low is 46, by Leander Kaelin in S14. However, that's just a simple calculation not factoring in the remaining schedules, which could definitely play a role in the race given the wide gap between top and bottom teams.
