Can the Lynx Reach the Playoffs?

After winning the Founder’s Cup in S35, even the most adamant supporter of the Ottawa Lynx didn’t truly believe that their team had a legitimate shot at making the VHLM Playoffs in S36. After making the playoffs in every season since S32 (when GM Jim Gow took over the reins of the team), a season or two of not making the playoffs after winning Ottawa’s first cup since S23 would not have been too high of a price to pay. However, the recent play of waiver wire pickups Konstantin Azhishchenkov, Travis Boychuk, and Jack Ryan, as well as the addition of VHLM veteran goaltender Magalhaes Pergher, currently has the team in playoff contention. With 25 points in 32 games, the Lynx may not be setting the world on fire, but they currently sit 1 point ahead of the Saskatoon Wild, who have gone a rough 1-9 over their last 10 games. With the trade deadline approaching, look for the Lynx to possibly make another low key move and add an additional depth player.
