Could We See An Active S55 Off-Season?

Season 56 may prove more interesting for those paying attention to the big clubs next season. After what feels like seasons of the status quo, we are starting to see younger teams inch closer and closer to emerging as competitors among the traditional top teams. Couple that with the speculation about the future of some of the competing clubs, specifically New York and Stockholm, and we could wind up with an off-season that seems some big trades. 

 

And if that occurs, we are likely to see some new teams begin to take the reigns. Teams like Toronto, Davos, Calgary, Seattle and Riga all have a few young pieces or the building blocks to some young cores. Well maybe Seattle less so, but you get what I'm leaning at. But if anyone of the major teams rebuild, that would leave a lot of potential moving pieces. Even a retool could shake the market up enough to see a team maybe stuck on the fringe have a underdog shot at a Championship. After all anything can happen in the VHL playoffs.
