BluObieZ 1,125
Do you remember way back when the Zimmers agency published Annoyance Analytics articles to let VHL teams know which teams his clients will sign with and which they won’t. Well they are back. Robbie Zimmers is bringing the annoying article out article retirement. Robbie has one of the top prospects heading into the VHL’s S57 draft in defenseman Ko Kane. A player who is already ruffling feathers by outright refusing to play in S55 of the VHLM season and will refuse to play for any team that tries to draft him in the S56 VHLM draft. In the article the pros playing for each time will be listed. Which for some teams there will be little to no pros because Robbie does not like a number of teams. Teams like this will have close to or even a zero percent chance of signing Ko Kane if they choose to draft him. Robbie basically is establishing a small market for his client. Some even think it’s one team long. That team is Cologne since his other client Vernon Von Axelberry plays for them. Having the bruising powerful Ko Kane playing for them on the blue line will help the team that is mired in what seems to be a long rebuild. This way Robbie can guarantee that Axelberry gets the help he needs but also he can use one player to as a bargaining chip when it comes to contract talks. How will the analytics help Robbie achieve what he wants to get done? Well if you are Team A (will not list teams right now) where Robbie does not want any of his players to play will have a zero percent chance of signing him if drafted. A whole host of reasons will be listed as to why Ko Kane will not sign an entry level contract. So even if he is drafted by them, Robbie will message the GM and tell them to trade to Ko Kane to Cologne. While there are other teams he is willing to play for but narrowing the field down to one team handcuffs the drafting team and they will get less in return for their first round talent player. So basically if you are a team that Robbie does not want Ko Kane to play for, it is in your best interest to not draft him because you will have more headaches trading his rights because he will not sign with your team. This way Robbie wins and he gets what he wants. The VHL has never had a prospect like Ko Kane ever. Ko Kane refuses to play in the VHLM (first ever prospect to do so) and he is willing to sit out on seasons if he is drafted by a team that he does not want to play for. Meanwhile sitting he will continue to pile on the practice hours so by the time he becomes a UFA (if you don’t trade his rights) you will be losing a far better player than he was before. So you are better off not drafting him at all and just avoiding the mess. The first annoyance analytics article arrives next week. So teams that he does not have any interest playing for have more than a season to plan around not drafting him. Oh and no the list of teams he is willing to play for is longer than one team. It’s about four teams long.
