Ted Doughty signed in Toronto with the Legion over the off-season and is looking to continue where his mentor, Sachimo Zoidberg, left off. Doughty has bounced around the league and even ended up as an unsigned free agent last season and is staring down the barrel of retirement. With his career ending soon, Doughty is looking to make a bang and try and turn around the image of his career, including hitting the gym at a competent level in years.

Doughty had this to say about becoming a member of the Legion.

I have a lot of respect for the GM and the team. I've been a shit player and I let a lot of people down along the way, but I'm hoping I can do something, anything, this season. I've put in time and money into trying to be at the top of my game and hopefully it pays off. The Legion are giving me every opportunity to succeed and I think that with my hard work coupled with first line minutes I can push for top 10 in scoring in the league. We just played our first pre-season game and I was able to notch three points in it against Seattle. I know it doesn't mean anything yet, but I went hard and it showed on the scoresheet. It's a long season but I know as the season goes on I will improve my game and I'm excited about seeing what I can do this year.

I just wanted to say thanks to the Legion for taking a chance on me and giving me this shot. They have a solid squad and I can see them doing great things in the future, maybe even as soon as this season. It's a bit optimistic to say we could win a championship this season, but you never know.
