scoop 3,432
The first round of the playoffs are over, and as we move to the Conference Finals, we are looking at two series that may have wildly different outcomes. In North America, Quebec are heavy favorites over Calgary, who came into the playoffs as the worst team, statistically. The Meute were easily able to handle the Wranglers during the regular season, posting a 7-1 record against them. The Wranglers were also considered underdogs against the Legion, but the Meute are a much better team. I suspect this series won't last longer than five games, with Calgary best chance at even a single win being a stellar performance from Jacob, with Quebec dominating otherwise. The series in Europe looks to be much closer. While the Dynamo did just barely edge out the Titans to advance, the Reign will have their work cut out for them if they want to make the finals. Davos easily took the regular season series against Riga with a 6-2 record, but that is absolutely no reason to write off the Victory Cup-winning Reign. The Dynamo will need Diana Maxwell to step up from a lackluster performance in the first round. This game, of course, will put the former New York teammates against each other: Maxwell and Motherfucker Sharpe on Davos; Bobby Digital, Essian Ravenwing, Phil Shankly, and M.T. Power on Riga. for mist4ke Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/44145-conference-finals-preview/ Share on other sites
