Mueller Disappointed in Wild Loss; Sits for Entire Playoffs

Recommended Posts

The Saskatoon Wild signed Kriztof Mueller right before the playoffs to add some extra offensive punch but the league decided to not give Mueller the clearance to play, meaning the Wild wasted 1.5 Million Dollars on the German center.  For all intensive purposes, Mueller got paid 1.5 Million Dollars to not play a game.  While that sounds like a relaxing and easy job, Mueller was disappointed to not get a chance to play for the wild:

"I'm definitely pretty disappointed to not get to play for the Saskatoon Wild.  I have no idea if I will get to play for them again but I do appreciate the team signing me with the intention of having me help enhance the offensive firepower of the team.  Unfortunately, we fell to Ottawa, but it was still a nice experience and should help me next year after I get drafted to my VHLM team.  I feel this was a nice initiation into the league and I hope that I can bring a lot more to the team I play for next season, and perhaps we can go on and win a championship too."

Mueller, who will be drafted this off-season, first heads to the Team World WJC camp as he hopes to perhaps earn a spot up front for the team.
