Shpeen ready to go

Young Floridian center Ebi Shpeen has been an official VHLM prospect for a little over two weeks now. Unfortunately the timing of his declaration has prevented Shpeen from playing in the league, as he chose to put his name into the VHLM circles just a week before the start of the playoffs. Not one to rest on his laurels, Shpeen has begun working with coaches on an accelerated program designed to get him prepared for the league, and has even done a quick runthrough with VHLMSA scouts to get a basic scouting report on the books before the draft.

 

"I figure I gotta do whatever I can to get my name out there," Shpeen said to a lone reporter for a local Jacksonville paper. "I know that I'm being watched closely by the guys in the league, so I wanna show them what I can do. I'm hoping to be selected in the top three rounds of the VHLM draft, and I'd be ecstatic to go in the top two rounds for sure."
