Most Surprising/Disappointing Draft Picks Since I've Been Here Pt.3

Recommended Posts

Part 1

Part 2

Season 41

Most Surprising: Raphael Pettyfer, 17th Overall. Didn’t do too much in the sim, but picked up the third most TPE out of this draft class.

Most Disappointing: This Draft Class. Was really hyped up with 11 players over 145 TPE and 16 over 100 TPE at the time of the draft, but only Niklaus Mikaelson broke 600 TPE.

Season 42

Most Surprising: Benjamin Zeptenbergs, 14th Overall. First-Gen player that wound up playing a part in winning two Continental Cups in Toronto’s threepeat era. Severin Von Karma at 13th Overall was also a pleasant surprise, finishing the class 2nd in TPE, but at least had shown he had potential with Shane Baker before prematurely retiring.

Most Disappointing: George Patton, 7th Overall. Patrick Demko at 4th Overall also didn’t live up to expectations but Patton didn’t make the VHL until his third season and only put up 66 points in his four seasons at the pro level.
