This past week, Calgary Left Wing Oyorra Arroyo was spotted at Calgary's Pig & Pinot 2018 fundraiser event. The event brings together various chefs and merchants for one night to create an amazing food experience and to raise funds for Calgary Meals on Wheels. It was designed to promote the Calgary dining scene while also raising money for a great cause. Arroyo was seen at the event taking photos with the one person who actually recognized him outside of the hockey rink. Many thought that Arroyo lived a kosher life-style, but he put those thoughts to rest as he chowed down on the dining during the festival. When asked about it, Arroyo responded, "What gave you that idea? Pigs were made to become bacon!" Rumor has it that he made a very generous donation to the cause, and he was also seen loading a couple of cases of wine into the back of his car. There's no word what Arroyo plans to do with all the wine, but sources indicate that no one has seen him outside of game day since the event, though someone did claim they saw him buy a baguette and cheese one night. More on this story as it develops.
