The day finally came! I have been ranked second in the latest edition of S62 VHL Draft Ranking! Previously I was on the third place, so I made moving up in the ranking little personal goal to go after, was not expecting it to happen this quickly, only been couple weeks from the previous edition, but just shows that if you work hard and play well on the ice, good things will happen. There is always couple scouts in games watching us, so cant really have too many bad games if you want to be ranked high.

 

What comes next? I mentioned last time that first overall might be out of my reach and I still think that is the case, Twinger has been on fire this season and as a player only keeps on improving, but keeping the second place in the rankings would be awesome. Mulligan and Slipher are right there behind me at third and fourth place and Kovalchuk has been making some noise as well. Quite interesting by the way that so many Yukon and Oslo players are ranked high, Top-7 is only Yukon and Oslo players at the moment! 

 

Important to still remember that these are only the current rankings and there is still a lot of hockey left before the draft, then on top of that, different teams have different needs, so even if you get ranked high or low, does not mean you cant still be drafted high or low, that is the beauty of draft - full of surprises usually!
