Saskatoon-Ryuu Crimson was drafted by the Riga Reign, 9th Overall, the Reign's 3rd Pick. Fans all over Saskatoon were sad to see him go.

 

But as it turns out, they were wrong.

 

"I'm staying in the Minors for one more season before I go to the big leagues." Ryuu Crimson announced on Tuesday. Him, Dylan and several other Reign draftees decided to stay in the Minors for one more season before going to the Big Leagues. "Honestly I really don't mind. Gives me more time to prepare myself and get ready for when I reach the big leagues. I'm really thankful for this opportunity and just being drafted is good enough for me. 1 more year in the Minors never hurt anyone. Plus, I wasn't even on for a full season."

 

The Saskatoon Wild will be glad to see him this season on the first line as the Wild's top Left Wing. "I'm kinda glad I get one more season before I say goodbye. I will always remember the Wild."
