Ho Chi Minh City - The World Junior Cup is upon us and Team Asia has seen quite the boost before the tournament. Dylan Nguyen one of the best young defensemen in the VHLM declared in a press release that he will consider Vietnam his home country for all international competition. Nguyen is half Vietnamese and is one of the first Vietnamese professional hockey players. The Vietnamese government has given their full support to Nguyen, and has even began promoting the young athlete within the country. Along with Nguyen, team Asia has obtained the services of two other players who are known to be friends with him, Ryuu Crimson and Alex Pepper. Pepper received a bid from South Korea to represent the country and decided to accept rather than take his chances with a stacked US team, he will be Team Asia’s starting Goalie. Crimson, like Nguyen, is of Asian descent and decided to represent Team Asia because of his ties with the region. With Nguyen, Pepper and Crimson, Team Asia has received a significant boost and looks to be a contender for gold. Vietnam will be rooting for Nguyen and the rest of Team Asia in the Cup!
