The Pugilist Award

Im TPE whoring so this write up is just a ramble.

 

Anyways I think it would be interesting if the VHL/VHLM had an award such as this. Seeing a player strive to lump the shit out of as many opposing players as possible during a season would be exciting. I don't know about the rest of you members but I know I'd sure in the hell enjoy it.

You could be qualified for the trophy based on the amount of hits, fights and penalty minutes accrued throughout an entire season. Now no one attribute is the criteria to be able to qualify for the trophy. It would be an accumulation of all three attributes meaning the highest total number of all three would end up being the winning candidate.

 

Having a trophy like this could give the lesser developed or talented league players a chance to shine and showcase their unique talents in these areas. For example a guy like Mountain Thunderfist on Seattle could be in the running for such an award. He is quite adept in these attributes. There are a number of VHL/VHLM players whom are skilled in the aggressive side of the game, and I'm sure they'd appreciate the recognition that they don't receive unlike the other offensive and  defensive awards given out to players. I think its something the league should contemplate on.
