CANADA -- During Canada's 3-1 victory in their first game of the World Juniors, Rylan Peace was held off the scoreboard despite registering three shots in roughly 13 minutes of ice time. In his first appearance with a national team, Peace was unable to contribute offensively the way he would like, beyond generating some offensive chances for his team. Fortunately for the prospect he doubled that tally during Canada's dominant 5-1 win over team USA.

Rylan Peace scored his first ever national team goal at 19:47 during the first frame, a goal that went on to becoming the game winner for team Canada. Peace's teammates on the Saskatoon Wild chipped in helpers as well, with assists going to Toby Fitzgerald and Anthony Dabarno. Likewise, in a tale of unfortunate events during the VHLM S63 dispersal draft, Peace scored and Dabarno assisted their former Halifax 21st teammate Kronos Bailey's second goal of the game.

"It was special," Peace admitted. "We're all teammates, or were teammates at one point, so it was pretty unique helping each other out."
