Regular season came to it´s end last night, seems like only yesterday was the day when it all started, but here we are once again - getting ready for playoffs to start. Riga finished first with 110 points, Seattle one point behind with 109 and the third team to hit magical 100 point mark, Calgary finished third with 106 points. Those three teams had nice years, all three won at least 50 games out of 72, so for the playoffs - the favorites to win it all has to come from that group.

 

No need to worry though, there is more! In the challenger group we have Quebec with 86 points and Toronto with 76, they did not have bad years by any means, made the playoffs and all that, but the top-3 were just so strong that both teams need to play the best hockey of the season in the playoffs.

 

Since I´m personally playing in Quebec, I´m expecting exactly that to happen, played some solid hockey at times during regular season, but also had trouble scoring and winning games mixed in there, so if and when we can hit back of the net from the chances we create - got all the tools to go and challenge the top-3 and take a spot in the finals. One game at a time, play our own game and use our own strengths, the results will come.
