Eudaldkp 160
This is not an article about coping with the loss of a familiar, but it is rather about how to get over a very demoralizing loss in a playoff series. As some of you may have seen, the Wild lost 8-7 in the first game against his series against Halifax, but not only that, they gave up a 7-1 lead. However, it seems like they are very focused on the playoffs and did not let that loss get in their heads, as they came out fierce for game 2, posting a 4-0 shutout and tying the series at 1-1. We asked both Carles and Brick what was their mentality like after game 1 going into game 2 and Brick said "When I have hard games and everything seems to crumble around me I take time to remind myself that it is just one game. I have to be strong for my team and try to be a positive presence. The most important thing is being able to put a game like that behind you. Just come together and support each other". Carles agreed with him, and added "When you want to win so hard, you cannot let things like these get into your head, it is important to make sure nobody in the team is thinking about past games and is just focused on the next one". Today we are going to have games 3 and 4 of the series and both teams have taken demoralizing losses now, but it looks like Saskatoon is better fit mentally than their opponents, will that combined with their talent be enough to advance to the finals?
