Pajari Happy with Cup Win, Excited for Season 64

Recommended Posts

Riga Reign forward Mikka Pajari his absolutely and obviously happy to have a Continental Cup win behind his belt, even if as the teams 7th forward he didn't wind up playing a major role in the teams success. Still, winning is winning and Pajari now has a Continental Cup something his father Rauno was never able to do in his 7 year VHL career. Neither was Daniel Braxton mind you, so being bad or good clearly has nothing to do with it. Pajari talked a bit about the win and the future as the team got ready to close down shop for the off-season,.

Yeah, it's nice to win one. My second season with the club as an active member and I took a bit of a backseat this season so we coudl overload that forward group. Shepard coming in. But it worked and it was awesome to see so many hard working guys raise that cup. I'm just happy to be apart of it. As for next season, I'm really excited. Season 64 I'm promised a bit more ice time, I'm continuing to progress and I think I'm going to have a chance to be more of an anchor for that 2nd line which I'm really excited about the opportunity for. It's a challenge, but I want to prove for sure we can repeat even with losing a player or two to retirement. We can repeat with me taking that active role. And that is exactly what we are gunning to do.
