jRuutu 2,464
Training camp is going to be over soon, over here in Quebec we had a positive camp - made some clear improvements on various areas and more importantly, managed to find some line combinations that should provide good things when regular season starts. Of course nothing is written in stone yet, but I have personally spent a lot of time on the ice with Weyed and Svoboda, two young wingers who are going to play their rookie years in VHL on the upcoming season! I have tried to help them as much as I can with everything on the ice and also off the ice. To build some confidence and positive vibe, I also tried reminding them how lucky they both are, getting to play with Rauno Palo is something that quite few in Quebec get to experience, but I will never have that feeling of what it´s like to have saucer pass after saucer pass hit my stick from almost impossible situations by Rauno ´Smooth´ Palo. They both are good players , both like to shoot and when I´m more of a playmaker myself, we should get along just fine out there, hopefully I can keep on dishing and they fire away - should be fun year for Weyed and Svoboda, but also for me personally, hoping to reach the 50 assists mark this year.
