Elias, what are your thoughts on the competition in the VHL?

It's fucking hard man, everyone there is so good. I'm getting smoked by people every night. I haven't done as bad as some of the other people, but it is definitley a harder league than the VHLM. I made the mistake of going in all over hyped about myself, thinking I'll dominate every night, but I've been brought back down to reality. The goalies are a lot better.

 

What did you feel when you recorded your first VHL point?

It felt great, felt like a weight being lifted off my shoulders when I got that assist. I'm just hoping I can continue it and rack up the points. Hopefully my nerves go away and I can get the monkey off the back

 

How are you bonding with your new team?

I like to think I'm bonding pretty well with them. Currently I'm living in one of the vets' house. Davos is a really small town compared to Ottawa, but its very scenic. I love living here, but I do miss Ottawa

 

Are you still in contact with your teammates in Ottawa?

Yeah, I'm still in their groupchats and such. There's some familiar faces on their team that I recognize, and whenever I'm in Toronto if I have the chance I'll probably drive out to Ottawa and practice/hang out with them
