Beaviss 4,957
Rookie Report C - Hunter Hurst Helmsley Team: Halifax 21st 49 years old 6'3", 250 lbs. Birthplace: Nashua, New Hampshire, United States (time to play the game?) Overview Hunter Hurst Helmsley is a very popular WWE Superstar and has been for the last 15 years. He is known worldwide and wants to take his skills to an even bigger stage. Hunter being the physical specimen he is doesn’t have to struggle too hard in the physical aspects of Hockey. He has been a body builder since he was 18 years old. He was never really a great skater until he set his mind on becoming a pro hockey player. With his mass amounts of wealth at his disposal he was able to hire the best coach’s and agent’s money could buy. Armed with his squad of trainers and advisors as well as his worldwide popularity he looks like he really could make an impact at the VHLM / VHL level. Player Profile Checking: Weakness Being the massive human that Hunter is, it is hard to imagine that he wouldn’t be a great checker. His coaches are mystified on why this world renowned professional wrestler can’t seem to put the connection between the WWE and the VHL. Hunter will most likely start training on this later on his career but for now he’s not going to be aiming to hit people. Fighting: Weakness Hunter being a professional fighter almost his entire life makes it hard to imagine that he also wouldn’t be a great fighter? Fighting comes naturally for Hunter so his coaches think it will come as his skating gets better. Hunter himself blames the jersey grabbing as his primary kryptonite. Discipline: Strength Hunter being a professional athlete and some people would also call a professional actor. His Discipline is unmatched being able to get punched and beaten up for a living makes your will as hard as iron. Skating: Strength Hunter is going to try to make his way in the VHL by flashing speed but only in a straight line. His speed and power makes him a player to be reckoned with in a straight line. As soon as you put crossovers and tight turns into the mix though he starts to fall behind the rest of his team. Strength: Strength This almost doesn’t have to be mentioned but HHH as said above is a physical specimen. He is so strong that he can pick fully grown men over his and toss them. HHH isn’t sure about how useful this skill is in the VHL but that doesn’t change how much he’s going to hit the gym. Puck Handling: Strength Surprisingly this is his best asset, Hunter’s stick-handling abilities aren't anything to laugh at. He has hired the best puck handling coaches known to the human race (Patrick Kane), so he knows the best way to carry the puck into the zone against any particular team. He's capable of pulling off just about any deke you can imagine. Don’t sleep on Hunter’s hands. Faceoffs: Strength Hunter can read his opponents well, since hes had to read his wrestling partners his entire life. His physical strength and drive really helps him in the faceoff circle. His coaches one day think he will be one of the best in the league in this category. Passing: Weakness He'll throw a pass to a teammate in the defensive break out, for sure, but as soon as he’s in the offensive zone he’s either driving the net or throwing some clappers at the goalie. One day Hunter might reconsider his shoot first mentality but for now he’s clappers only. Scoring: Strength Hunter can score, plain and simple. He’s got some amazing hands and physical gifts. Which makes his shots almost second to none. His coach’s forced him to sit for weeks in front of the shooter tutor with Patrick Kane yelling in his ear. Hunter will be a god among mortals when it comes to putting pucks in the net. Defense: Strength Unlike many scoring-first Centres, Hunter is going to be a presence in the defensive zone. He will use his size and his hockey IQ to angle off forwards. He will need to work on his defensive game a little bit, but it's something he'll be working on improving at. Penalty Shot: Neutral Hunter is a Puck handling god and also a Shooting god. Since he only used a shooter tutor until this point, it might take a while to really grasp the art of dekeing goalies. Leadership: Strength Hunter is very much a leader by example, he ran the WWE for years. He will deliver key goals and will try to rally the troops in the locker room. The locker rooms in the VHLM are quite different than the locker rooms in the WWE. It might be a little but he will be a captain one day.
