New Teams

A lot of excitement in the league over the new franchises. I for one think that excitement in warranted. The new franchises look amazing and the logo presentations were something special. First off, I like that Moscow logo a lot and the team looks like they will have a good base to start off with. Finally the league gets a team in the State of Hockey, that being Minnesota. I joined this league in the summer and was surprised no team was in Minnesota yet. That city needed a franchise and finally got it. Next up was Philadelphia, and this one just makes sense. I for one think of the original six teams in the NHL and sometimes forget that Philadelphia is not one of them. Not because of the date they were created, but more so because of the old style logo. This Philadelphia team has no problem with that as they have a modern looking logo and it reminds me a bit of the Phantoms who I think are the Flyers AHL team. Houston gets a team before the NHL can expand there, so that is a huge move by the VHL brass and the partners involved. Lastly, Vancouver getting a team is big as it's a huge market in the NHL and well see if they can win a title now.
