Scouting Report

Scoring

Wolf is a pure scoring, offensive type of player that can throw his big, beefy frame around. Wolf may not be the best passer or puck handler, but he sure can shoot. He uses his opponents as screens on the opposing goalies, then does a quick drag shot and 9 times out of 10, that puck is going in the goal. Wolf has an excellent release with great accuracy and that has been part of why Wolf has been so successful in his college, and even younger leagues. Wolf has excelled playing the left defense spot on the powerplay for his college team. He manned his own playerplay on the second unit, he would usually sneak over to the left corner boards and wait for that big one-timer, or slide into the high slot or even go as far back as a big one-timer from the blue line. Many scouts say he has one of the best shots entering the S37 VHLM dispersal draft. Look for Wolf to score many goals in this coming VHLM season, using his big body and his great shot to be an offensive dynamo.

Skating

Many might think this American born player is a weak skater. With such a big frame, how could he be a good skater? Well, he sure is; He may not have the best acceleration, but once he gets going he is like a train on skates, and he uses that speed to absolutely demolish opponents. Wolf needs good skating, combined with his excellent shot. Yes, he may have to work on acceleration in the coming season, but he has the basic roots of skating cemented to become a great skater. It has been proven in the VHL that to be good you need to be able to out-skate top defensemen in the league, and I believe Wolf knows this and he sure will strive to be the best he can so he can be the best some day.

Checking

It has been hinted that Wolf has the right motto to be a great checker in the VHL. He has the big 6 foot 2 frame, carrying around 185 pounds. That big frame gets even more obnoxious when Wolf gets skating 30 to 40 kilometers an hour, and he turns into a raging bull, looking for his next victim. With wanting to become an elite power forward in the VHL someday, Wolf will need to be more agile to make the big crucial hits to free the puck up.

Weaknesses

Passing

It has been proven in Wolf’s college league career that he cannot pass at all. Wolf probably has one of the worst passing percentages ever, and probably has the worst passing rating heading into the VHLM dispersal draft. This will be a big problem for Wolf in his career; If he doesn't pick up his passing game, he will most likely not be a successful power forward. Though, most power forwards are shoot first type of players, we believe Wolf will bring both dimensions to his game in many seasons to come.

Discipline

Another huge negative in part of Wolf’s game, with his big body and his heavy hitting, look for Wolf to take a lot of penalties in this coming VHLM season. His discipline is really low and he took really stupid penalties in his college days. Like swearing at the official, to taking charging calls and taking lots of elbowing, interference and boarding penalties. Wolf has stated “I am going to try and adjust my game”, if he does not do so, he will be spending most of his time in the box and this will lower his draft stock by a significant amount.

Conclusion

Wolf is an American born, stone cold killer out on the ice. Opponents scare away from him on the ice, and avoid him whenever possible. He uses this as a big motivational thing in his head, nobody really knows why, but people do know he plays with his heart on his sleeve and he practices and plays at a 110 percent, and is willing to do whatever he needs to do to help his team win.

You incorporated all the needed components for a successful Rookie Profile. Your player resembles more of a Russian than an American..lol. I would have chosen a different picture than the first one you chose.
