Seattle and Riga, that’s all we have heard all year concerning who was going to win the cup. It was a circle jerk between the two all year long for first place leaving everyone else in the dust. Both teams have loaded squads who have been turning it up a notch all year. Now that playoffs are here fans are left wondering what happened to the teams that they have been watching all year. They are both currently in a 3-2 series hole but don't count them out yet as they are both very strong teams.

Toronto squeaked into the playoffs after a strong second half of the year. They have been a goal scoring machine despite being dramatically outshot by their opponent in these playoffs. The Titans have been on a hot streak after starting the season off slow. The GM made a lot of acquisitions in the off season and took a while to get the lines right, but he seems to have found a winning formula.

It is the year of the pig in China, but will it be the year of the underdog in the VHL?? Only time will tell if we will get the finals matchup no one saw coming.
