Smitty Ready for VHL Draft

In a disappointing end to his VHLM career, Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen and the Ottawa Lynx were defeated by the Halifax 21sts, a team they had problems with all season, in the semi-finals of the VHLM playoffs. Smitty himself helped blow the series, with his atrocious play in the first few games. However, that is now all in the past, as Smitty will be taking his talents to the VHL. This player will most likely be a return to normal for this player agency, as Smitty is not expected to be as active in free agency as Shayne was. His preference would be to be a one-team player, but he is keeping his options open, especially for the last 2-3 seasons of his career. While Smitty does believe he knows where he will be going in the draft, surprises could still happen. Either way, there are very few teams that Smitty would not want to play for, as long as he has the opportunity to become the team's clearly defined #1 defenseman.
