With the off-season underway and the Helsinki Titans season over, Jesse Wilson moves on to the off-season schedule. Wilson turns his attention to playing for Team Canada at the World Cup of Hockey. Wilson was named as the fourth defensemen for the squad and is hoping to showcase his talent to there world. Wilson is lucky to be on a star studded team and is looking to put in a performance as one of the younger players in both the lineup and in the tournament. Not only that Wilson does need to focus on his sophomore season with the Titans and allow some room to grow into a more complicated role with retirements pending. Wilson is looking to be a bit more offensive next year and try and climb to the top of the defensemen lists as the stats that jump out at media is the sexy ones (points, assists, etc). It remains to be seen if Wilson can build on his rookie season and provide some depth behind the top parings of players on their roster. The playoffs are the goal, with the cup being raised as the ultimate goal.
