FacebookFighter 67
VHL.COM ~ Buffalo, NY By- Gloria Borger II As vicious winds sweep through the northeast, many people have been left without power. The lack of power has not stopped people from posting to twitter to thank @TheRealOwenMay. The recent VHLM draft pick has spent some time back home as he prepares for his rookie season. During his time home, May has been found helping around the community. Yesterday, May was found at a local soup kitchen. Tonight he's been aiding the community by cleaning up debris caused by the strong winds. When interviewed, a town member was quoted saying the following: " It's really nice for a guy who has better things to do with his time, still help out the less fortunate. He feels like a real blue collar kind of guy and I think that really speaks to the city. We can't wait to see him make the VHL in the future and we'll be watching him from a distance." May failed to comment and asked that any responses be kept off record. May appeared that he didn't not want to make anyone uncomfortable and preferred to address the situation he was presented. A humble beginning for a young man. We can only hope that his positive attitude will win out the day and become a staple for many young VHL players.
