Dear fans,

hometown hero. That word implies a lot in the world of sports, especially for the fans of a club. I do realize though that I have messed things up majorly, again. The management of the Cologne Express took quite a shot in drafting a scrub like me, and I did what I always do afterwards. Returning to the city where I have been born is a life-long dream, and I cannot wait to take my little talents to North Rhine-Westphalia after playing another season with my old team of the Bern Royals. I will do my best then to make my fans and supporters proud.

That preseason I played was very mediocre, just collecting totals of one goal, two assists, 13 hits and four shots blocked in four games. That actually should not be classified as mediocre, but more as bad. But, I guess I can take that as a starting point and try to work onwards from there. With all the delicious Swiss cheese in Bern around me, that could be difficult but I will try my very best.

When I get home, I hope that the Express fans will finally see me as some kind of hometown hero. Not everyone has the privilege to play in the city he grew up in – I do so and I will not overlook that.

I call b.s! Your ruined the image of Ron World Peace! I didn't think he was supposed to be a humble guy who would call himself a scrub, I thought he was more of a cocky guy who would pursue revenge just because he got drafted in the second round. I'm disappointed :(
