"With the 8th overall selection, the Houston Bulls, are proud to select, from the Dutch Elite League, Kari Jurri."

Scouts have been rushing into the office of General Manager Pepper, with them going on long talks about his elite release and accuracy, excellent vision, and a great mind for the game. So much so, that when Jurri was up on the board at 8th, Pepper did nothing short of sprinting to the podium to make the selection. There usually isn't a such a thing as a "sure thing" in any draft, but the Bulls were so high on him that they passed a slew of talented defensemen and centers.

"I didn't want to trade down to get him, I didn't want to risk not bringing him here. I saw him on the board and my philosophy was to just take him, and mark my words, I'll do that selection any day of the week, with any draft pick.," said Pepper.

From humble beginnings in Groningen, Netherlands, to the Houston Bulls the VHLm, Kari Jurri has already established himself as one of the best players of the small European nation. A trek of enormous proportions, the young Dutchman flew from a slew of nations; the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia Canada, and finally the united states. You'll find that Jurri is immune to airplane sickness, as you could definitely make an argument for spending more time flying than sleeping.

And sure enough, things might be good back in Europe, but things are even better in Houston. The young rookie leads the league after 5 contests, wooing anyone who sees him with 11 points, having more goals than he does games. He's no stranger to playmaking either, with 4 assists.

The Houston Bulls General Manager likens Kari's release to VHL top scorer Veran Dragomir, high expectations for a teenager.

"The puck basically teleports to the back of the net, its on and off his stick so quik." said fellow teammate Ludvig Sederstrom.

"He's only played fife games an' he's th' best player in uir organization!" stated the token scot, MacElroy, "Ye cannae sit still fur a second, ye ne'er know whaur he ur th' pucks gonnae be." he commented, with a bit of a slur.

He's already generated plenty of hope and excitement for the new expansion team, Houston residents cheer his name at the surprise appearance of his name in the league leaderboards. Picked #8th, he's playing a major role with the bulls, who are currently fighting for a playoff spot in their inaugural season. You can definitely tell when people are wired for success, and Jurri definitely comes off as one.

This wiring definitely comes in handy when it comes to transitioning from the larger surfaces in Europe versus the more close quarters North American ice. He's not one to step away from challenges, and hes taken every step well. The increase in speed, the heightening of physicality, and the less time you have with the puck.

Jurri has an excellent career ahead of him, and Houston as the building blocks to elevate him to another level.
