Kristian Stormborn was born on May 5th, 1994 in Oslo, Norway. He began playing hockey at the age of four and practiced at the local Oslo Spektrum all the way through growing up. At the age of five, Stormborn was enrolled in his first hockey club and had since been determined to one day, become one of the best Norwegians to ever lace the skates. As he continued to grow older, Stormborn played on club teams which were all well above his age group and excelled in each club despite the minor age difference. He dropped out of high school in his junior year in order to pursue his hockey career and it has paid its own dividends since making the drastic decision. He was always better than the older kids and played a level of hockey that was rare in a diminutive Norwegian-born forward. Stormborn was always one step ahead of the competition, which helped him develop into the player he is today. At the age of sixteen, Kristian Stormborn had all it took to make an impact in the top leagues around the world He has the determination to make it far and the skill to reach premier leagues all over the world, most notably targeting the Victory Hockey League.

His first steps towards success was when he decided to vouch to play for Valerenga Ishockey club at sixteen. This was a marginal move for a player dropping out of high school and Stormborn knew very well that he couldn't make a living playing in the league. But, he had to get noticed and playing in the Get-ligaen was the only viable option for the young Norwegian. Stormborn notched twenty-five (25) assists and twenty-eight (28) goals for a grand total of fifty-three (53) points. Perhaps the brightest spots comes in the hit department as he played again

st men and is rather short in size. As he played out a full season with the club, Stormborn quickly started to pick out the basics and even had a taste of playoff hockey as Valerenga ended up getting swept in the first round. This was all apart of the learning curve and was the first true glimpse at the hardships of playing hockey at a professional level. With some great statistics for a young teenage boy, Stormborn impressed scouts from all over the world and with no intention on moving to North America at his age to make a play in the CHL, the KHL was to be Stormborn's next step in ensuring a successful hockey career.

Kristian Stormborn was drafted in the second round at selection fourty-one of the KHL Junior Draft by HK CSKA Moskow and ended up being sent down shortly thereafter to the KHL2/VHL. Stormborn would suit up for THK Tver. Kristian Stormborn had began playing very well for Tver and still found himself in a league well above his natural skill level. Adjustments had to be made and it proved difficult for Kristian to adapt to the lifestyle and playing style of the Russian team. Having been given a solid shot at the Top 6 in Tver, Stormborn would pick up on his early season struggles and finish the season off with twenty (20) goals and eighteen (18) assists for thirty-eight (38) points before being called up to dress for Moscow as an eighteen year old.

Playing in the Kontinental Hockey League as an eighteen year old is one thing, but being an early eighteen year old Norwegian forward was considered just about impossible. At this point, one couldn't even say Stormborn was dominating at the KHL minor level, but perhaps this was a mere gesture for CSKA Moscow for the forward who had several aspirations to become a regular on the team. Having not been given a shot at a top role, Stormborn would struggle playing on a lower line and not being able to keep up at the KHL level of play. While he managed to acquire two (2) points in his twelve game stint, Stormborn was considered forgettable at best. He would soon learn he was released by CSKA Moscow due to an international clause that would only allow a select few of players from other countries. However, many would say this was just the nice way of telling the youngster he wouldn't be able to progress at such a level.

After almost giving up on his dreams to become a professional hockey player, Stormborn would receive a call from the Victory Hockey League Players Association who would generously offer Kristian one last shot to prove his worth. He would stay fairly close to home and play the game he has always loved. Not long after, he would soon make the move to the minors of the Victory Hockey League where assume the role of being a member of the Bern Royals drafted in hopes to one day make it to the Victory Hockey League as a permanent fixture and household name among hockey fans alike. Having been astounded by the sudden career transition, Stormborn would suit up for the Royals in Season 36 and while the road proved difficult, he would be a solid depth forward for the rather successful team. With a grand total of twenty-three points (23) points in seventy-two (72) games played, Stormborn would inevitably have second thoughts about his playing career once again. The Cologne Express of the Victory Hockey League had other opinions on the matter as they decided to use their third round selection on the small, yet pesky forward. Thus giving Stormborn one more chance. One more chance was all the forward needed according to his recent play and  top role on the Bern Royals currently in Season 37. It may very well seem that Stormborn has found a home in Bern, but hopefully, not for long as he hopes to become a player in the VHL by late season or early next season.

Scoring Ability  Possessing quite the arsenal in goal-scoring is most certainly the brightest spot in Stormborn's game. Picking corners and controlling his release is just two of the strongest suits that he has. This ability seperates him from most. You can normally find him attempting to perfect his shot and accuracy from all areas of the ice which generally has transitioned very well to game time.

Physical Play: Great things come in small sizes. In this case, that great thing is a natural enforcer. Kristian grew up around the game of hockey and one of the first things he took in growing up was the art of hitting. He finds that hitting is just as important as any other stat when it comes to play the game. Although, he doesn't have much force in every check, Kristian is notorious for throwing his small frame around against the best of them.

Skating: Goalscoring is difficult without the speed to back it up. Luckily for Stormborn, he's got the wheels to skate with the best of them. Even during his difficult stints in prior levels before the VHLM, Kristian was always known for his great hustle. His speed is used heavily on most teams forecheck and he always tries to be the first one on the puck. At his size, relying heavily on his speed is great for avoiding being knocked out of the play.

Size: This one isn't exactly news to Kristian. In fact, he's heard it his whole life. "You're too small to play this game!" they said. They aren't wrong either. Stormborn has difficulty keeping up with the pace of games with his inability to handle the puck for prolonged periods of time. This proves especially difficult for him in big games when he is almost completely eliminated due to being helpless with his lack of a large frame. Maintaining puck control has proven hard for this below-average sized forward.

Discipline/Attitude: Having spent a plenty of visits to the sin bin, Kristian finds himself there more frequently than on the scoresheet. This has been a major problem for Kristian as his attitude isn't beneficial either. Being bullied is an occurrence that happens way too often on the ice. This really gets into his head and Stormborn can't help but retaliate in frustration. Learning to keep his cool can prove beneficial going forward.

Language: With almost no understanding of the English language having dropped out of high school, Kristian Stormborn has a tough time understanding players and coaches alike. It may not seem like much of an issue and can be taught with time, but with no ability to pick up what is being put down, it creates for a headache. Having now been drafted, it won't hurt Kristian to take some lessons to better equip himself.

Content: 3/3 - A very interesting look into the life of Kristian Stormborn. There aren't many Norwegians playing in the VHL, so it's not surprising at all to see Stormborn's story be slightly different than the average player's. Similar to Svoboda, I thought the KHL aspect was interesting, as again, the VHL doesn't see many players who come from the KHL.

Grammar: 1.5/2 - Only found one more, and it was really more of a formatting issue.

again (line break) st men = against men

Presentation: 1/1 - This was awesome. One of the best looking biographies we've seen in a while.

Pros: 1/1 - Over 200 words and solid.

Cons: 1/1 - Over 200 words and solid. Found the one about English particularly interesting just because it's one you don't usually see.

Overall: 9.5/10

FINAL: 10/10
