BOOM 8,818
In New York this morning, a move that should been made a while ago was completed in the Americans Locker Room. The "A" on the jersey of forward and chronic disappointment, Vaydar Odinsson, was cut off and returned to former leadership member, Dan Wilinsky. At the beginning of the season when Odinsson was named to the Americans leadership team, many questioned the move and wondered if it was a misprint when it was announced. The past history of the agency has hardly been one of devotion and commitment to a particular franchise, so perhaps it was right to be questioned. Even this season, Odinsson has dodged requests to sign a contract extension with New York, amid rumors that he may even leave the VHL prematurely for a multitude of reasons. When asked about the removal of the "A", Odinsson only had time for a brief response. "Dan Wilinsky never deserved to be removed as the "A" and it never really sat well with me. Sure, it looked a smart move at the beginning of the season, but sure enough I have regressed and find myself absent from any leader board that really matters to my role with New York. I don't want it any more, so Wilinsky deserves it back. Goodbye." Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/60379-relinquished/ Share on other sites
