After Being Runnerup for Atlantic Canadian university Hockey MVP last Season, Alex Pearson looks to make big strides in his first season for the San Diego Marlins. He will be interviewed by local sportscaster John Ready.

————————————————————————

JR:First of all, welcome to the city of San Diego! What are your first impressions of the city?

Alex: Thanks John! It’s a great city, i come from a pretty small community so coming to a city like this is obviously a big change, but my teammates and GM are really helping me with the adjustment.

JR:With the season Starting as soon as Monday what are you most excited for with this new opportunity?

Alex:It’s been a long summer, I’ve worked really hard to get myself to where I am, I’m just excited to go out there and play my game and help this team go far this season in their inaugural Season.

————————————————————————

JR: Why did you end up signing with San Diego? There were other teams making offers for you if I’m not mistaken.

Alex: Being on an expansion team Is always fun, we don’t really have expectations except for the ones we set ourselves. They have a solid roster and great leadership group and I’m excited to work with them all year to help elevate my game. I’m really excited to be here.

JR: How does that wrist feel?

Alex: Brand new, Ive been rehabbing it all summer and a few weeks ago was the first time I was able to do anything with that arm with zero pain, Its great, I can’t wait to get back on the ice and show the fans what I can do.

JR: How we’ll do you think the Marlins will do this season?

Alex: I think we are going to suprise a lot of people, we have a solid first line and a lot of hardworking guys, Eagles is an insane goalie too, he’ll suprise some people this season.

JR: Thank you so much for your time, and good luck with your new team!

Alex:No problem, thanks!
