Jubo 1,839
For a team so deep in talent, the Philadelphia Reapers require some of their top end talent to swap time between their top six and top nine. Each member of their top nine is capable of producing over a point-per-game average. One of those players is Ben Hafkey @ItsMcLovin who has played his entire junior career with Philly. It is hard to imagine a player at 140+ TPE so early in the season could be considered a depth player; this speaks volumes to the high level of talent injected into the VHLM over the last few seasons of scouting (recruitment). The role of a depth player has its ups and downs. While being a favorite in the locker room for making physical sacrifices on the ice, players outside the top six will typically see a lack of production on the scoresheet. Depending on how well versed a fan of the game happens to be, this may result in a player being overlooked or undervalued. The Reapers organization believes in the value of each and every one of their roster players regardless of them being the top center or a sixth d-man. Ben has provided the Reapers with three goals and one assist through 10 games while riding a plus six rating. His 15 hits are sixth on the club. There is no doubt Hafkey will be an incredibly valuable asset on the Reapers for the remainder of the season and playoffs. He will continue to move up and down the lineup as the Reapers move towards perfecting their line chemistries. His career in the VHL will start as soon as season 67 with the Vancouver Wolves after being selected 53rd in the most recent VHL draft.
