ECN on VHL Portal

What is up in VHLM?

In this post, we shall dwell into interesting statistics and analysis of VHLM and S66. As always if you have any ideas of improving ECN and making information we provide better, be sure to contact our Chief Editor FrostBeard. Brought to you by Frostbeard Entertainment.

To start off, interesting fact - there have been 7 fights in VHLM this season. You might think that there isn't much to add, but well, only 2 of those fights ended with a clear winner. Both Lucas Nygren and ACL TEAR showed that they can defend their teams and show others that it is not wise to fight against them. On the other hand, we have Morpheus Destructious and Rusty Shackleford who both have had 2 fights each but have ended in a draw. Interesting that by observing both of them, they seem to have a persona that would indicate them as great fighters. ECN had many discussions on this topic and we came to conclusions that some players just brag but can't deliver. Let's see if the next 40 games in VHLM will change their statistics for better.

S66 has started as predicted. We have 2 teams that have been strongly battling for the tough stop on the top of the standings. Both Ottawa and Philadelphia are showing why they should be considered Elite this season. Interesting that Saskatoon has fallen down the standings to the point where First-year expansion team San Diego might move to 3rd place in VHLM. That surely will be a huge blow to Saskatoon's morale as they surely put themselves on top of the league before the start of S66. No surprises when we look at Houston Bulls and Yukon Rush as both teams were undermanned and had only a few good players at the start of the season.

Point totals are another interesting this to look like this season is truly high scoring, to say the least. 29 players currently are over point-a-game and many more are close to being that. Truly amazing showing by the young talent that soon will storm into VHL. Let's hope that VHL teams will have enough spots on their lines next season. One person in all VHLM deserves not only his team's credit but all our condolences as  Guillaume Fontenette is playing over 30 Minutes per game. That is a great showing of a player who is ready to put his body on the line and play his heart of out every day.

Well, that is it for this week's ECN on VHL Portal. We hope you will have a great time and an amazing week! Have high scoring games and keep your smile up!
