PenKnight 23
Fatigue Setting In We are back, yet again, with an update of the Mexico City Kings. The Kings have dipped to seventh in the standings and continue to fight an uphill battle. The players are training hard and earning the important TPE that is available each week but for some reason keep splitting games. A cluster of Shootout Wins and Losses doesn't help the cause as the teams above them keep earning the important points to say ahead in the race. Derek England keeps his mantra going to the coaches and general management... "Just get us to the Playoffs" he preaches. "Once we get to the Playoffs, it's a whole new ballgame!" If the Kings continue spinning their wheels it appears they might finish where they are which is seventh. The good news is they should be a lock to make the playoffs very soon and they have a 14 point lead over the 8th place Storm. They also have a lock with a 35 point lead over Las Vegas who is in turmoil and recently had to make a GM change due to the inevitable Real Life! Recently, the Kings picked up Left Winger: Teemu Lehtinen Jr. A former player who took some time off but is ready to get back into the Sim Life. In a very short time he has pushed up to 62 and has been a constant presence in the locker room pumping the team up and scrounging for every TPE opportunity. Junior learned everything from his old man Teemu Lehtinen but according to scouting reports is actually a better player. The apple just doesn't fall to far from the tree as they say! We will be looking forward to his progress and we hope to update you on the news in the coming weeks. Go Kings!
