The Yukon Rush’s centerman Frans Eller’s production has stagnated, what had started off as a torrid pace, has cooled markedly. The Danish forward has collected 9 goals and 7 assists through 18 games, which isn’t a poor result necessarily, but not the pace he was hoping to continue at if the Yukon Rush are to be considered a contender or one of the elite franchises in this seasons VHLM.

The fifth overall selection from the most recent VHLM draft has focused on his two way game and his faceoffs as he gets acclimated to playing as a centerman, despite entering the VHLM draft as a winger. He plans to do this while maintaining a lethal shot selection, his defense attributes look to be topping off around 75 this week. Eller has already connected with one powerplay marker and one shorthanded tally. He’s hoping to provide a big boon to the Rush’s 5 on 5 play and special teams.

Will Eller’s focus on defense turn up the offense? We’ll have to see.
