Corco 1,237
Vasteras' Top Line Leading Team on Current Hot Streak Keiji Toriyama and Willem Janssen have been the heart of the Iron Eagles' offense this season VASTERAS, Sweden - The Iron Eagles didn't exactly have a peachy start to their S37 season. Through 14 games, the Iron Eagles sat out of the playoff picture in the European conference with their record of 6-8-0, a far cry from the team that surprised many last season and nearly sneaked into the playoffs. However it was at this point that team began to finally find some chemistry and the right players began to heat up, leading to the current hot streak the team finds itself on. After those first 14 games, the Iron Eagles are 16-3-5 and are sitting 2nd in the Euro conference, 13 points behind 1st place Davos, 3 points ahead of 3rd place Riga, and 10 points ahead of the re-tooling Cologne Express, who are hanging onto their playoff hopes by a thread; that thread being the career-year that David Collier (a Vasteras draft pick) is having. Should Vasteras want to continue their run, they need to remain focused and continue to play their style of hockey. Against possible playoff opponents, the Iron Eagles are 4-2-1, but that number will most likely fluctuate as Vasteras still needs to play 7 games against Cologne, and 5 against each of the Dynamo and Reign.
