Smarch 3,153
VHL Playoff Leaders: The Victory Hockey League Playoffs are under way, with the Vancouver Wolves awaiting the winner of Helsinki and Riga to face-off in the Continental Cup Finals. The Wolves finished off the Toronto Legion in five games to move onto the finals, making it the second straight years have made it to the finals. Today we’ll look at some of the leaders in the playoffs. Goals: Rauno Paul (6) Paul is leading the way with six goals in twelve games for the Meute so far. Paul is coming off a strong regular season that saw him put up 110 points and 46 goals. Paul will look to pot a few more goals to help the Wolves to their third Continental Cup. Assists/Points: Beau Louth (12/17) After announcing that after the season he will be hanging up his skates, it appears Louth wants to go out on a high note. Louth has been a beast, putting up twelve assists and seventeen points in the twelve playoffs games he has appeared in with the Meute. Louth is looking for his first championship as he exits the league, and no one looks more determined through the first two rounds. Hits: Joseph McWolf (38) McWolf has been hitting everything that has crossed his path this post-season. McWolf has been a beast defensively putting up thirty-eight hits in ten playoff games. If you are putting up almost four hits a game, opposing players are going to take notice. Game Winners: Shawn Glade (3) Glade has been finishing more this post-season, than teams that missed the playoffs in massage parlours. Glade scored the game winner in game two against Calgary, game four against Toronto and the series clinching game five against Toronto. The Wolves hope Glade has a bit more game winning magic left in him for the next series as well.
