After the dust settled and the busy weekend was over Ryan Busser found himself back in Europe after returning to North American last season. Busser was drafted 29th overall and just recently signed a contract worth 5M, the Riga Reign will have his rights for the next 3 seasons. Although he may not play for the team right away both parties were thrilled to connect and the future was looking bright.

Before joining the VHLM Ryan played 5 seasons in Russia where we won a championship and was one of the top players playing for Moscow-Spartak Spartak in the RHLM, now he find himself on a team in Latvia which is the border state to Russia. With a familiar atmosphere, new gear and getting drafted with teammates should give R.B. the boost he needs to fuel his development and he should make the transition easily whenever the time comes.

This season Busser was also drafted in the VHLM and went 16th overall to a rebuilding Mexico City Kings, with 2 first round selections and 9 total picks the team ended up turning out similar to San Diego last season, giving Ryan plenty of ice to play his game with potential around him. He also finds himself teaming up with Alyksander Hunter again and were drafted to the same teams, both players played well together last season and had a total of 117 points between the two of them, making them a threat every time they hit the ice and playing another season together will only make their chemistry better.
