Balanced Approach Leads Bulls to Early Success

The Houston Bulls aren't leading the league in very many ways, except the one that matters of course, but it is hard to spot a weakness that could stop this early success. Sean McGee is sporting a .892 save percentage, the third highest in the league, and he has been assisted greatly by his defense, allowing the fewest shots of any team in the VHLM. The offensive production has been equally balanced, spreading the puck around so well that one two players on the roster have zero goals after seven games. First round draft pick, Soren Jensen leads the team with fourteen point and a +/- of twelve.

When you combine the 3rd ranked offence, the 3rd ranked goal tending, and the 1st ranked defense, you get a 6-1-0 start for Houston. A real test of this team's ability will come this week when the 1st place Bulls take on the 2nd place Storm. If Houston wants to win, they are going to have to improve on the power play, as Minnesota has taken more penalty minutes than any other team this season. If the Bulls can capitalize on this lack of discipline, they are in a good position to stay on top of the league a little longer.
