Seabass 593
Team Europe won the S68 Gold medal game over last weekend 5-2 over Team Canada. We caught up to Team Canada defender after the game for some of thoughts. "Honestly i'm pretty bummed out after losing that game, I mean it wasn't even a close game in the end. I'm just really dissapointed that I couldn't bring the gold back to Canada at all during after my two years playing for the team. I just really wanted to make up to the fans for not even getting a medal last year by winning the gold this year but we fell short and lost to a pretty strong European team. I'm pretty proud however of my young defense comrades as I feel the new guys really contributed a lot to our team's improvement this year. Alex Hunter specifically was a great partner and I feel we had great chemistry on the ice and he's got a great future in the VHL ahead of him. He'll come back with a vengence next WJC i'm sure." This was Perrin's last season of WJC eligibility and lead the team in minutes played this year. He was the gold medal game's third star as he scored a goal and a assist and also had 5 hits and 5 blocked shots but was -2 for the game. Over his two year tenure playing for team Canada he played 20 games, scoring 4 goals and 14points while being a +4. He had a critical role in this year's team as he was relied on heavily because of his experience and leadership. diacope 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/71521-perrin-dissapointed-at-wjc/ Share on other sites
