As the Season 68 playoffs march on, A Red Guy finds himself watching from home as his New York Americans fell short of making it to the show. A Red Guy was the only goalie in his rookie class to see a significant number of starts, as fellow first rounders Samuel Ross and Raymond Bernard sat behind veterans on teams pushing harder to compete. All things told, Guy started 54 games, going 20-28-6 and posting a .906 save percentage along with a 2.99 goals against average.

As New York's core pieces continue to develop, expectations around the team will continue to rise. The upcoming offseason will be pivotal for the Americans, as they hold two first round picks after housing four in the last draft. Next season will show signs on whether or not the franchise is establishing a successful rebuild after treading water for what has felt like an eternity by VHL standards. If A Red Guy can continue to grow along with his team, the Americans should be able to make good on those expectations.
