StamkosFan 72
Pat Svoboda is now nearing the end of his career, and seemed a little saddened by the prospect. "I had so much fire when I first joined the league, and like how all candles eventually melt, I am now nearing the end of my days. I know my days in the league are numbered, though I intend to fight my aging a bit. When you're young, you feel invincible, like you'll never die. But then time goes on as surely as it always does, the hits start to hit a bit more, the skating seems to get a bit more burdened. It's like your body has quit on your dream even when your mind hasn't. But Riga still needs me and for now I'm sticking around. I want to close out my career with some of my best seasons, to go out knowing that I was one of the best and I did achieve the level of play that I always wanted to. I'm excited for what is to come next and ready to get this show on the road. If Riga can win just one Cup, that will be all I ever wanted and more. This could be our year," said Pat Svoboda.
