ShawnGlade 1,010
Recently we saw the end to the wonderful career of Shawn Glade. Glade was regarded as maybe the best two way defenseman in the s60s, at least in the mid s60s. He reached the PPG mark twice in his career, and finished with an impressive 379 points in his 6 VHL seasons. However, he was never a man of points, rather he went for a much bigger prize: cups. In his 2 VHLM seasons, he reached the Founder's Cup finals twice, however losing both. Following these back to back finals losses, Glade joined a stacked s63 Riga team, that won the Continental Cup that season, earning Glade his first ring in his rookie season. He took a hiatus the next two seasons, making the playoffs in both seasons, however losing early. He made it back to the finals in s66 if the Vancouver Wolves, however lost yet another finals appearance, making him a sad 1-3 in finals he had played in. However, Glade would win the cup again the next season with the Wolves in s67, and then won it yet again in s68 with the Seattle Bears, meaning Glade had gone out on top with 2 consecutive Continental Cups, making his finals record an even 3-3 in his career. zepheter 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/72711-how-impressive-was-glades-career/ Share on other sites
zepheter 586
Can’t complain about that. Just one cup and I’d say it was a successful career.
