VANCOUVER - It's been a month or so since Ryuu Crimson signed with the Vancouver Canucks. The former Victory Hockey League player was sent down to the Utica Comets after he was signed, where he had done well, gaining 6 goals and 7 assists in 11 games. So, the Canucks decided to call him up with the injury of Micheal Ferland. He will be playing in the next game for the Canucks.

"Yeah, I'm excited," Ryuu said during a press conference. "I mean, this is the National Hockey League we're talking about me playing in. While I have played in the Victory Hockey League, it's still nerve-wracking to me that I am going to be playing in the NHL. I hope I haven't grown rusty and that I can still compete even in a new league."

Ryuu Crimson did well in his VHL career, becoming the first and the only rookie to ever win the Daisuke Kanou as the Playoff MVP. We'll see if he is able to use some of his experience from his glory days with the Reign and Dynamo in the NHL. Maybe he will become a star?

Only time will tell.
